You want to witnessed or experienced the heaviest traffic in the world, I guess Manila, Philippines is on the top rank....Rain or shine you will never miss the traffic here, sometimes it last the whole 24 hours, especially during rainy season....
During rainy season, a lot of people get stranded coming to work or heading back home, there's flood everywhere, especially if there's a storm/typhoon, no matter what the signal is, it's all the same, everybody suffered...
Like last night, I left my place around 8pm because my work starts at 9pm and it normally took me 25 minutes travel time, I just give an allowance of 30 minutes if in any case there will be unavoidable circumstances happen like traffic, since it's been raining all afternoon til night yesterday so I anticipated the heavy traffic along Mac Arthur's Highway but never thought that in EDSA (like freeway in US or a National Highway here in the Philippines) the traffic is far more heavy compare to Mac Arthur's Highway, it is normal to expect traffic in Mac Arthur since they are fixing the road and half of it is still in contruction and there's nothing you can do about it but be patience because once they are done with it we are hoping that the flow traffic will far more better than it used to be, Filipinos or people residing in this area experienced not just traffic but flood water rises around like 5 to 7ft, and we are thankful that the government is taking actions to resolve this issues but the question is why are they taking so long to finish it, it's already over a year when they started recontructing this, starting from the bridge (Tullahan)....
To cut the sory short, I was stranded and 30 minutes late for work even I have anticipated the situation, because I have never thought that EDSA will have heavier traffic than Mac Arthur highway last night...
I was thakful that my boss did understand the situation, and my perfect attendance bonus suffer..... :)
