Infections we can Outsmart!!!
1. Botulism - Botulinum bactereia are 10 times more lethal than rattle snake and thrive in low oxygen, low acid environment like a can of food pierced by dent or a container of leftovers sitting out at room temperature. So scan your cans and keep leftovers in a fridge set colder than 4 centigrade. Enough toxin to kill a person can grow in as few as three days above the temperature, "says Morton Satin, MSC the author of Food Alert.
2. Tetanus - Given that Closridum tetani can be transmitted by a simple splinter of insect bite, your best defense is to be up to date on your vaccination - except 53 percent of people aren't, according to the US centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you're due to a 10 year booster or don't know if you're due see your G.P ASAP. Then stow your immunizaton record somewhere safe, like with your passport.
3. Methicillin - resistant Staphylococcus aureus - You want MRSA to remain on the outside looking in, which is why experts keep preaching proper hand hygiene and woud treatment. But also you need to sanitize your sorroundings. "High-touch areas in your home and work space should be disinfected twice a week, "says Chuck Gerba, PhD, a professor of environmental microbiology at the University of Arizona. Debug your world by swiping surfaces with a disinfecting wipe.
4. Meningitis - This potentially fatal brain infections comes in two varieties, viral and bacterial. And while you can't do much to avoid viral meningitis, a vaccine confers immunity from 80 percent of the bacterial culprits. If you're planning to spend extended time in close quarters with a large froup (like, say, on the world's meningitis hot spots (check www.cdc.gov/travel), ask your doctor for the best.

The Unborn 2009 - Movie!!!
The first Unborn film was release in 1991 and another one release in 2003 and the third version was this year 2009. I have not watched the first two version. I watch the one released this year and as per my opinion the movie was good.
It was a bit scary and suspense, the evil the possesses the one who died and wish to be reborn, thinking of that alone is scary, there are only few scenes that I don't like, the scene where she hears voices calling her in the bathroom.
The reason for the unborn was explained by an old lady who happen to fought the same evil and have herself locked in an institution and her mother died fighting the same evil and depending her.
The good moral about the movie is that evil wont win as long as there is good in ourselves and fight for what is right.
The movie is still worth watching and I am hoping to get a copy of the first two version.

Good Valuable Items for my Baby!!!
He is one year and nine months old now and during this age we have notice that he wanted to explore a lot of things, he is trying to learn and check everything that he sees like seeing everything for the first time, this is good but sometimes if you are not looking and might caught off guard and get hurt.
I and my sister is looking for something that will suite his daily activities, we want to look for some stuffs that is educational for him to enhance his brain. We want to get him something that is really appealing to kids at his age.
I have remembered Shopwiki, because when we are setting up his nursery room late last year I was able to get help from them for some baby's stuff that we need. It's a good thing that I have known this website, they have a large collection you can choose from, almost everything that our baby needs.
We are considering getting educational toys for him and books if possible because he loves looking at pictures, and I also want to get him a bike for his outdoor activity, I have also noticed that the selections they offer does not stop from furniture's, books, toys and games, they also have fine line of clothing for our babies, nice set of clothes for infants, nice pair of shoes for my Nathan, they also have great stuff for girls, since my nephew is getting bigger and bigger each day, apparel for toddler needs to be considered.
The way I see it, Shopwiki is one great website to shop online, aside from the great items that they have, the considerate price for what they offer, you can also choose the best item for your babies or child's need and you can also select what character you want for the product that you want for your kids, Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh etc.
EverytimeI look for something for my baby from feeding bottles to his activity work , I always check Shopwiki for they can really provide you information for what you need and where to get it, grreat shopping search engine that is always there to help and guide us.

Safety for Kids!
Babies/kids loves to explore things specially around the house, they want to open doors, cabinets, watching TV as if they are kissing the screen, they might play with our gas stoves and get burns and any other things that can harm our children.
Our baby Nathan now is turning 2 this July and we are so worried for his safety around the house, he loves to play with doorknobs, cabinets, and I remember the last time I have visited them, I woke up from an afternoon nap that day hearing his cry because he hit his forehead playing the cabinet doors, we need to do something about this and luckily I was able to came across this baby proofing website the "kidsafe baby proofing and child safety products because I am really looking for a good cabinet lock and they have the best one that I can find.
I also surprise me that they also have this baby stairway gates, we have decided to move out from the previous apartment because we are afraid that our baby might fall from the stairs, if we only knew this good baby gates that they have we might reconsider staying there and get this baby gates instead, because our really main concern at that time is for Nathan's safety aside from the place will be a little bit closer from his moms workplace.
Child's safety is every families concern, we need to assure ourselves that they will be kept away from harm, peace of mind knowing that we did all the necessary precautions for our baby, always remember that prevention is better than cure.
Thank you and have a nice day to all.

Summer Heat Remedy at Home!!!
I was able to get this 1HP with timer for a very reasonable price, this is one good remedy for summer heat at home, especially in my place wherein you can't stand the heat/temperature even early in the evening.
I really need this one since I work at night and I sleep during daytime, I really value my sleep, because I hate the feeling of being so sleepy at work and that is not good for me and for our company if you can't fully assist customers because you are sleepy, my job requires presence of mind at all time..
Thanks to my special someone who's miles away for helping to have this one for our home here...

Good Fridy in the Philippines!
They re group of artist doing Sinakulo, its an re-enactment of what had happen to Jesus Christ before he died from palm Sunday til he risen up from the dead. We also have what we called Moriones, its parade and the participants wear clothes similar to the soldiers during those time and who ever wear the best costume will win a price. Some people let themselves crucified on Good Friday, others do station of the cross. Most people go to church on foot, they will walk miles and go to Quipo Church in Manila, to Antipolo Church and the one in Fairview, I been there I just can't remember the name of the church, the station of the cross there is human size or bigger.
Other go to the mountains and to pray or got to Sacrifice Valley in Bataan, there is also procession that start in the afternoon conducted by the church, i still remember that in Olongapo there are 2 church that do this every year which are St. Joseph church and Columban church.
One thing that i can't bare to watch is people doing penitence (penetensya), what they do is they beat their back with wooden sticks, but before they do that they slice or incise they back with a razor blade multiple times, and they walk with their face covered by a cloth or t-shirt.
Some people go to the beach and other family stay at home after attending mass. They is a lot of ways to observe this holy day and it really up to us.
Me, I go to church, if I was not able to go out of town, I stay at home, watch telivision and go to work if needed, I belive in God, I respect him and he is the only who understands me better and I know that he will always be there when I needed him and I thank God for his blessings.
On this day "Good Friday", let us pray for him and for our sins...Bless us all...

Move to a New Building!!!
Last Monday the whole Vonage Welcome department for QC branch moved to a different building, since the other department is expanding and needed our stations for the incoming agents.
I was not happy to begin with, with this moving thing, i am very much at ease with my station and it is really my comfort zone in the office, but when we finally moved to this new building, It's was O.K., I have a new station, the only thing I have notice is the spacing from one station to the next.
After 3 days being on this new building, I get used to it, and everything turn out right and it's good.
I have not taken any photos of my new station because we are not allowed to take camera inside the production area, i really do apologize that I don't have a picture to post.
Bottom line is that, no matter where you are as long as you love what you do, the place or the environment is not a question as long as you are willing to do it and you are happy.

Slumdog Millionaire...Movie!

I have read a lot of reviews about this Oscar winning movie, I was not able to say something about it until I have get a copy and watch it.
I was a very interesting film, two brothers grew up in a slum area, the younger is in love to his playmate since childhood, the three of them are together and joined group of gangsters who asked children to ask money in the street and gave it to their masters by the end of the day.
They taught some of the kids to sign and after this kid learn the song they will blind it, basically they will use this disability to asked money.
They only knew this when it his turn ( the one who wins the "Who wants to be a millionaire"), his elder brother have no choice and called his brother for this wrong doing, they fought the gang and escape but the girl was left behind.
They traveled so many places to live and earn a living, one day they decided to back and look for the girl, they were able to rescue her and the loder brother killed the gang leader and talk to the other gang group in the city, he joined them and sell the girl to their master and they got separated.
Now the boy is working in a call center, one agent need to leak and ask him to take his place for a sec, a call came in release it, he was so curious and check if he can find his brother on the directory, when he did he called him and they met afterward. His brother is still part of the gang and he follwed him one day and learned where she can find the girl and pretend that his a servant sent to this house.
They try to run away but they got caught, Now he decided to join the contest because the girl watch it, and his only intention is to be seen by the girl on TV.
Luck is with him was able to answer all the question, he learned it from childhood, he was even accuse of cheating by the host and get police to investigate befor the final question on the second day and prove himself that he knew the answers and the question before the final question was given by the host and for some reason he doubted the host and gave different answer.
His brother also did what he could to to have his little brother and the girl bac together even it cost him his life. for the question, it is very common but for some reason he have no knowledge about it, all along he only knew the there are three musketeers but never learned the name of the third one because because he and his brother is the 2 of them. (when they are still a child, before they mother got killed). He tried phoning his brother for the last question but his brother gave the phone to the girl, sad to say the girl don't know the answer to that question too. When the line was cut and continue with the game, he gave Aramis as the answer and he consider it luck because he never knew the name of the third Musketeers until that moment....
HE won and met with girl...his brother died...
The story is very plain and simple but how they put all the scenery and the way of life of the characters makes the difference...The film is worth watching...overall its a good film, full of adventures....

Happy Birthday to Me!
Yesterday was birthday(April 4), this year it was different, I did not celebrate my birthday like i use to this year, the day went by as if like an ordinary day, I am still happy that a my family and friends still remember this day even I did not plan for anything on this date. I am so thankful for all the messages and the calls I have received.
The main reason why I did not celebrate it, is that my special someone is still miles away and aside from that most of my family and friends is at work and some already gone for the holidays. Normally I spent my birthday out of town of have dinner at home with my family and friends. This year I went to work and my office mates greeted me and that was enough.
I am happy for what had happen and even if there is no celebration this year, I am still remembered and greeted by my love ones and that alone is more than enough, being remembered by the people who I hardly see and talk to on this day makes me happy and grateful.
I thank God for keeping my family safe at all times, I thank my family for all the support and for loving me unconditionally, my special someone who's miles away for the undying love and support.
Basically I can't stress my feeling enough for the joy that I have felt knowing that a lot of persons loves me for who I am and that is the greatest gift that I have received not only on this date by in everyday of my life and that will always be cherish.
I don't wanna name names, they know who they are and again thank you and to our mighty creator, thank you so much for giving me the strength and determination to face everything that came into my life no matter what how good or bad it is...Dear God, thank you so much for your blessing and for always keeping my love ones safe at all times.

Oil's and Its Benefits!!!
One way to judge an oil is by it ratio of monounsaturated fat to saturated fat: the higher the better, says Lola O'Rourke, RD, a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association. so before you fire up the stove, check out which is better.
article from:
Men's Health
This is so helpful for each and everyone of us, to know what type of oils should we use for our cooking and the best way to keep ourselves healthy and away from illness. It's a simple information about the oil that we use for cooking and I consider it very helpful especially if we cook for middle age people because we need to take care of ourselves more.
Health is wealth, that's what my mother always say, and she always remind me and my sister to take care of ourselves because she wont be there all the time to watch over us...
